Corr has up and down day in Pocono
Long Pond, Pennsylvania (July 31, 2010)
Sean Corr had very high hopes entering Saturday afternoon “Weis Markets 125” at Pocono Speedway. After Friday afternoon qualifying, Corr found himself with his best starting position so far in his young ARCA career, and wound up 8th on the starting grid for the race. When asked about the qualifying run, Corr could hardly contain his excitement and said, “the car was just perfect and smooth as glass. I could drive it anywhere I needed to.”
However, the start of the race provided the start to a roller coaster of a day for Corr. As the green flag waved, Donny Lia missed a shift and broke his transmission, and with no where to go, Corr collected him and dropped back to 15th spot before getting free from the disabled car of Lia. Realizing there was only cosmetic damage to the car, Corr steadily ran back through the field, running as high as 11th before his mandatory pit stop.
Pitting on lap 32, the crew changed 4 tires, air pressure and made a track bar adjustment and sent Corr back out for the final run to the finish. However, entering the turn 2 on lap 37, Corr found himself in the “Spin Cycle” after some contact from behind by Chase Mattioli. Thinking quickly, Corr immediately fired up his car and joined back up with the field under yellow so as to not lose a lap, and when the pits opened up on lap 38, ducked onto pit road to the attention of his crew for 4 more tires.
The final 10 laps of the race were feverish for Corr, as he tried to weave his way through myriads of lap cars on his way back to the front of the field. But by the time the checkered flag fell, he could only get as high as 16th, even securing that position at the finish line just passing Chad McCumbee for that spot.
Said Corr,” Our finish was not indicative of the car that my crew prepared for me, but I am glad to finish on the lead lap. I can not thank Leonard Bus Sales, and Roush Yates Motors enough for the support that they give me.”

Corr 8th Fastest at Pocono
July 30, 2010 - Goshen, New York
After a much shortened practice session this morning, Sean Corr felt satisfied with the time he did get on the track this morning. With his confidence brimming, Corr took to the track this afternoon for qualifying in his Leonard Bus Sales, Empire Racing LLC Ford Fusion.
Going out 26th in qualifying, Corr perked up the eyes of all onlookers when he tripped the clock with a time of 55.047 seconds, and a speed of 163.497. After it was all said and done, Corr found himself locked solidly in the field at 8th fastest. By far, this was Corr's best
qualifying effort of his young ARCA career. Said Corr, "The car was just perfect, and smooth as glass. I could drive it anywhere I needed to. I can not thank my crew enough for all of their help for getting me to this point."
Be sure to keep up with all the action starting tomorrow at 3PM onSpeed Channel and tune into the Weis Markets 125 Live.

Corr Readies himself for Pocono Return
July 25, 2010 - Goshen, New York
A little over a month off since his last race, Sean Corr now finds himself returning to his “home” track, Pocono Raceway. Corr’s ARCA career started at Pocono, and coming off of one of his career best runs there last month, Corr is very enthusiastic about the return. Said Corr, “I really love the Pocono raceway, and the challenges it presents not only to the driver, but the crew as well. It certainly is not one of the easiest tracks we run, but I love the speed as well as the fact that many of our home fans can make the trip.”
Returning with Corr will be Leonard Bus Sales as a primary sponsor. Stated Corr, “Leonard Bus Sales has been on our car for every race at Pocono in my ARCA racing career. It continues to be an honor to promote the Deposit New York dealership as we head back for our second race this year at Pocono Raceway. I hope to continue the wonderful relationship we have with them for this Pocono race and the Pocono races in the future.”
Corr has not been idle for the last few weeks however, he has been racing weekly at the Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York in the pro stock class, where he recently won the feature race on July 3rd. Focusing his gaze upon Pocono, the crew has been working hard and Corr feels confident about taking the car to the front with the equipment they are providing. Corr will have precious little time to get in the chase to the checkered flag since this is a fast 50 lap race.
The ARCA Racing Series has a long history of entering the 2.5-mile triangular track in the rolling hills of Long Pond, Pa. as a companion to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and this year's event will also unite ARCA with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in a Saturday doubleheader. 50 ARCA Racing Series races have been contested on the 2.5-mile course since the series' 1983 debut; and this year’s event promises to be a hotly contested run.
The lone practice for the Weis Markets 125 takes place from 10:15-11:55 a.m. on Friday, July 30, with Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell following at 1:40 p.m. The 50-lap, 125-mile race goes green at 3 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, July 31, with live streaming audio coverage featured on ARCARacing.com and live television coverage provided by SPEED.

Corr Makes Most of Off Weekend
July, 6th - Goshen, New York
Sandwiched between stops on his fan appreciation tour at “The Great American Weekend” in Goshen, New York, Orange County Fairgrounds in Middletown, New York, and Healey Brothers Ford in Goshen, New York, Sean Corr returned to his racing roots on Saturday night along with his Empire Racing Teammates to compete in the Pro Stock Races at the Orange County Fair Speedway. As an added incentive, Empire Racing had also increased the purse for this race, giving the winner an extra $500.00, so the pressure was on, as to which the Empire Racing sponsored team would take the extra money that was on the line.
Being that this was only the 3rd time this year that Corr had raced at “The Hard Clay”, he found himself slated to start in the tenth position. However, when the green flag dropped, Corr wasted little time in slicing his way through the powerful field and taking the lead in just 5 short laps. From there, he lead the rest of the way, but it was not easy by any account as he had to withstand numerous restarts. By the end, it was Corr first at the line with just about a 2 second lead over his Empire Teammate Troy Arnold who finished 2nd. Corr’s other teammate, and raceday ARCA spotter, Pete “Scooter” Van Noordt finished 8th, after having to pit during the race while in the top 5.
Said Corr in Victory Lane, “It is always fun to come back here and race where it all started for me, and to have the opportunity to win on a night where my team is the sponsor and race with my guys. It is really neat. I have to thank my crew, EMS Motorsports for the great car they built, the track for having this night, and all of my fans who come out to support us week in and week out.”
Corr’s next race, will be back in the #82 Ford Fusion ARCA car, at the “Tricky Triangle”, Pocono Motor Speedway on July 31st, 2010 in the Weis Markets 125 which will be aired live on Speed Channel at 3 PM.

Corr Makes Most of Tough Day
Barely one week removed from a career best finish of 12th at Pocono Speedway, Sean Corr and Empire Racing headed to Michigan International Speedway for “The Racing For Wildlife 200.” Scheduled to start in the 21st position, Corr encountered communication problems before even rolling off the line and wound up starting last in the 41 car field.
Not to be deterred, Corr steadily worked through heavy traffic, and by lap 17 found himself back in 21st position. Fighting a “tight” car due to a early morning shower removing all rubber from the track, and first pitting on lap 28 for tires and fuel, Corr went back to work, running in the top 25 for most of the afternoon. However, a blistering pace being set by the leader, resulted in a loss of a lap early. This day would see only 6 cars on the lead lap by days end.
Long periods of green flag racing ensued and the final caution was waved at lap 77, where Corr came in to the attention of his crew for 4 more tires, fuel and a wedge adjustment for the final sprint to the finish. Rallying back from being laps down to the leader, and earlier problems did not hamper the New York State driver as he came home in the 18th position. Said Corr, “I am happy to have a great crew and great cars, and being able to come back from the adversity that we faced in the beginning of the day is just a tribute to this whole team and their willingness to never give up.”

Corr finishes 12th at Pocono – Attempts to make it a “Double-Header” Saturday
(LONG POND, PA -- 6.6.2010)
Sean Corr and the Empire Racing LLC team have made another successful trip to Pocono’s Tricky Triangle this past weekend in Long Pond, PA in the “Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 200.” Placing 12th overall, the Goshen, NY native held a strong position at his home track throughout the 80-lap race despite some early troubles in the beginning of the race. Corr said, “I’m definitely excited to be back here at Pocono…it’s a challenging track which makes racing exciting.”
Corr, making his 4th return to Pocono Speedway, was anxious as ever to get back behind the wheel. Finishing practice with a time of 56.500 seconds and a top speed of 159.292 mph, Corr was confident in the ability of the #82 car to perform even better the following day for the race. “The new fins on the race car give the car a whole new feel…it’s been challenging trying to figure out what types of changes we can make to the car to make it better,” said Corr. After making some adjustments to the car to help with the handling, Corr went out for qualifying and came in 18th fastest out of a field of 36 cars.
Eager to make it to the front of the pack, Corr had some tire troubles early on in the race where he had a left front tire go down in lap 21. His pit crew quickly got him back on the track moments later. As the race moved on, Corr entered the pits again during lap 37 for additional fuel and again on lap 73 for fuel and new tires. The fresh grip from the new tires helped Corr move up one additional position in the last few laps of the race to make it to a 12th place finish. Corr said, “It’s always frustrating when we have trouble early out on the track but we do the best we can, and I’m confident in my team to help me get back on the track quickly. They did a great job and I am very excited with how well we did here today.”
After the excellent run at Pocono, Corr, still with the adrenaline in his veins, traveled quickly back to his hometown dirt track for some more action. Ready to take to the track in his Super Dirt Week 2008 Pro Stock champion car, Corr was anxious to master the newly packed track at Orange Country Fair Speedway in Middletown, NY. After arriving just in time for practice, the feature was postponed due to the encapsulating thunderstorms arriving from the west. “We were all looking forward to possibly making this a double-header weekend.” said Corr. “Its unfortunate the rain came just minutes before the feature.”

It will now be a busy couple of weeks in the shop, as Corr will prepare to run back to back weekends, with Pocono and Michigan, but he certainly is ready to face the challenge.

Back to School
Goshen, NY (05-10-10) – A rare off weekend from racing provides many opportunities for a race car driver. However, for Sean Corr, the choice of what to do with his time is simple. This upcoming weekend, May 15th, Corr will be in Concord, N.C., at the zMAX Dragway as a guest speaker to a group of teenage drivers participating in the B.R.A.K.E.S. Teen Pro-Active Driving School.
B.R.A.K.E.S. is a charitable organization that Corr is donating his time to for the 2010 season, and driving safety is a subject that is very near and dear to him. As a third generation provider of student transportation, driver awareness and safety are issues that Corr takes very seriously.
Said Corr, “It is a privilege to give back to the community and lend a hand to such a worthy organization as B.R.A.K.E.S. I am honored that they would let me come in and talk to the students about safe driving.”
Due to a lack of experience teen drivers have the highest car crash rate of any age group. The chance of one crash in the first year of driving is 89.2% and, unfortunately, many of those crashes result in serious injuries or death.
B.R.A.K.E.S. is a nonprofit that attempts to reduce such statistics by conducting the Teen Pro-Active Driving School, which provides free, hands-on training for teenage drivers and their parents. More information about the organization, founded by NHRA drag racer Doug Herbert, can be obtained by visiting www.putonthebrakes.org.

Corr’s Solid Run Ends Early
TALLADEGA , AL (04-24-10) – After picking up the pieces from Texas last week, ARCA Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards rookie Sean Corr made his way to Talladega Superspeedway. With spirits high, he and the entire Empire Racing crew prepared for their newest endeavor on the ARCA tour this week. On Wednesday they set out to do just that.
After arriving at the speedway Wednesday morning and rolling the car through the tech, the team began the preparations for practice and qualifying. Then on Thursday, Sean made his first laps at Talladega . Working on qualifying runs, the team completed 19 laps total. Later that afternoon, qualifying took place and Corr was able to get the #82 Empire Racing Ford Fusion into the 25th starting spot.
On Friday morning, a final practice session was provided for the competitors. Sean went out for one session of drafting and was 7th fastest. Feeling confident that the car was very drivable for Corr, the team decided to park the car and prepare for the 94 lap Talladega ARCA 250.
As the green flag flew there was lots of side-by-side racing action and even three to four wide passes being made. This didn’t prevent Corr from making his way to the front of the field. In the first 5 laps Sean moved from 25th place to the 19th position. When the first caution flag came out on lap 17, Sean had moved up to 12th and was very pleased with how the car was handling. The call to stay out was made once again, and Corr restarted 8th on lap 22. After another quick caution the following lap, the decision to stay out again was made and on the lap 32 restart, Corr found himself in the 4th position. On the next run Sean fell as far back as 12th and started moving back to the front.
On lap 51, while running 6th, Sean found himself involved in the infamous “Big One” at Talladega . The damage sustained on the car proved to be too much for the team to continue and they brought the car back to the garage. Corr, was ok but clearly disappointed with what had happened. “The #82 Empire Racing Ford Fusion was running great today. I felt comfortable in the draft, and the car seemed to work well wherever I wanted to run on the track. This certainly was not the showing we had hoped for with B.R.A.K.E.S. joining us this weekend, but at least now we have something to build on for future races,” stated Corr.
The team will have time to regroup over the next month and prepare for upcoming races over the summer as the series has a month long break. Although there won’t be any ARCA races, Sean and the team intend run some dirt pro stock races in the upcoming weeks. For information on these races and other news about Empire Racing visit our official website at www.empireracingllc.com or the official Empire Racing facebook page at www.facebook.com/empireracingllc.

Corr Makes Most of First Laps at Talladega
TALLADEGA, AL (04-22-10) – Today's 3 hour practices session for the ARCA Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards marks the first time that ARCA rookie Sean Corr took to the famed Talladega Superspeedway. After running a total of 19 laps through 4 different sessions a very pleased Corr brought the car in so the team could begin qualifying preparations. A 52.360 second lap was his best of the sole practice session that the ARCA competitors have here at the superspeedway. Corr's excitement for the late afternoon qualifying session today could not be hidden either.
“I'm looking forward to getting back out on the track later today and hope to secure a good starting position with the Empire Racing #82 Ford Fusion for tomorrow's Talladega ARCA 250.” said Sean “I'm really excited to be associated with B.R.A.K.E.S. and couldn't be more proud to have them on the car.”
Corr did secure his position in the field during the qualifying session after being the 5th car to take his qualifying run. He will be starting 25th in the Talladega ARCA 250, and he is hoping to find drafting partners to work with. “I'm going to work my way to the front and in order to do that I'm going to have to draft a lot. The more people I can work with the better.”
The Talladega ARCA 250 will air live tomorrow, Friday April 23, on SPEED at 5 PM EST. Be sure to tune in and watch for the Empire Racing #82.

ARCA Driver Sean Corr Promotes Safe Driving
Empire Racing LLC to Support Nonprofit Organization B.R.A.K.E.S.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 20, 2010) – Empire Racing LLC driver Sean Corr is proud to announce that he will support NHRA Drag Racer Doug Herbert’s B.R.A.K.E.S. organization by promoting the nonprofit and it’s mission of teaching safe and responsible driving. Beginning with this weekend’s race in Talladega, Corr will feature the B.R.A.K.E.S. logo on his quarter panel during 2010 televised events.
B.R.A.K.E.S., which stands for Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe, was founded in 2008 by Herbert after his two sons were killed in a tragic car accident. The mission of B.R.A.K.E.S. is to train and educate teenage drivers and their parents about safe and responsible driving. The Teen Pro-Active Driving School, which B.R.A.K.E.S. provides free of charge, is designed to give young drivers the dynamic experience of handling a vehicle in adverse driving conditions and a controlled environment.
Between 5,000 and 6,000 teenagers have died in vehicle crashes every year for the past decade and teens are 400% more likely to die in a car crash than 25-34 year olds drivers. By these statistics alone, it is easy to see that motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death amongst teenage drivers.
Driver Sean Corr also knows a thing or two about the importance of safe driving. As a third generation provider of school bus transportation, Sean and his company are responsible for the safe transport of over 60,000 students per day during the school year.
About B.R.A.K.E.S.

Corr Focuses On Talladega, Putting Texas Wreck Behind Him
MOORESVILLE, NC (04-19-10) -With the ARCA 250 only 6 days away, there is no time for what ifs. After some up and down moments at Texas Motor Speedway the past couple of days, ARCA series presented by RE/MAX and Menards rookie Sean Corr's day unfortunately ended early.
After Thursday's qualifying session got rained out, the line up was set by 2009 owners points, forcing Corr to start 32nd. He would not let that hold him back however. His 1 practice run on Thursday proved to be enough on Friday when the green flag flew. Corr worked his way up to 21st in just 2 laps as the first caution flag flew. A lap 5 restart continued Corr's charge to the front, picking off 7 more cars while working through the field side-by-side with Ricky Carmichael.
During the 4th caution of the race on lap 37, the Empire Racing crew made the call to come in for 4 tires and fuel. The excellent stop helped advance Sean 4 positions and he restarted 12th on lap 44. Just 5 laps later, while working on passing Frank Kimmel and having moved up to the 10thposition, a loose condition caused Sean to lose the handling of the car and spin off of turn 2. The front end damage resulting from contact with the inside wall brought the day to an end for the #82 Empire Racing Ford Fusion.
“The car was fast and we were working up to the front, I hate to see the day end like this,” said a very disappointed Corr. He was fine after the wreck and sustained no injuries. He even said he was already starting to focus on Talladega. “Its time to put today's wreck behind me, with the race at Talladega next week, I need to start preparing for that.” It will be Corr's first trip to Talladega and he is very excited to get there.
The team is heading straight from Texas to Talladega and is going to use the 5 days in between to regroup and get ready to go in Alabama. With the car already to go for the ARCA 250, the team does not have to worry about that this coming week. The team will be at the superspeedway Wednesday for tech. Practice will take place on Thursday along with Menards Pole Qualifying Presented by Ansell starting at 5 PM. The Talladega ARCA 250 takes place on Friday and will air live on SPEED at 5 PM.

Corr Enjoying Down Time and Ready for Texas/Talladega Challenge
MOORESVILLE, NC (03-31-10) - In years past, the month of April brought the beginning of race season for driver Sean Corr, but in his first season in the ARCA Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards, racing started nearly 2 months ago for him. This year, April means lots of traveling as he and the Empire Racing team prepare for back to back weekends at Texas Motor Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. Sean and the team will log over 3000 miles of travel in 11 days, but they aren't worrying about that just yet. As the crew works hard to get the cars and other important pieces ready, Sean has been trying to make the most of the past 2 months.
Since his 14th place finish at Daytona International Speedway in February, Sean has been keeping busy with his sponsorship quest and hopes that something will come through soon. When hes not making phone calls and visiting with potential sponsors hes either restoring a 1979
Trans Am or out looking for his next project. Sean never slows down. Preparation of his dirt pro stocks has gotten underway in recent weeks and he is really looking forward to getting to the dirt track as soon as he has an off weekend from his ARCA racing duties. "Its great to have my pro stock to race when there is time off from running the ARCA car," said Corr. "We're going to race it as often as possible throughout the season at local dirt tracks and possibly some Dirt North East tour races."
Corr also had the opportunity to go and hang out with his fans both, old and new recently, when he attended the Middletown Motorsports Show, in Middletown, NY. The show, which is held every year at Sean's "home track" for dirt racing, The Orange County Fair Speedway, was a great chance for Sean to catch up with everyone and represent ARCA Racing back home in New York. Fans that attended the show were able to talk with Sean and those that came Saturday got even more as Sean participated in the autograph session with many other area drivers.
While Sean is enjoying everything that's been going on, he can't help but think about the upcoming races. "Texas and Talladega are really going to be great points in my racing career and I'm excited to go to both tracks," Sean stated. "I was able to learn a lot at the Texas test in early March and look forward to using it all in the race. It will be my first time out at Talladega though and I've always wanted to run there so I can't wait." Corr's positive attitude keeps everyone on the team focused and moving forward. With only 2 weeks until the trip begins, the team has completed work on the Texas car and is focusing their energies on the superspeedway car for Talladega.
Be sure to check out the races on SPEED channel. The Rattlesnake 150 will air live on Friday, April 16th, at 7:30 PM ET from Texas Motor Speedway. The following Friday, April 23rd, the ARCA 250 at Talladega will be live on SPEED at 5:00 PM ET. For more information regarding Empire Racing visit http://www.empireracingllc.com/.

Corr Blazes to 8th Fast in Texas Test, Excited to Return Next Month
MOORESVILLE, NC (03-11-10) – For the past month ARCA Series rookie Sean Corr has been preparing to take on yet another new track in his young racing career. After a successful first run at Daytona International Speedway, in the season opener for the ARCA Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards, Sean got ready for another challenge, Texas Motor Speedway.
Ready to go on Tuesday morning, Sean and the team arrived at the track bright and early. However, the track had other ideas with water seeping out of the racing surface from rain the previous day. Forced, ARCA officials had to cancel the morning test session, but beautiful skies and sun prevailed. This had all 21 teams at the test, including Empire Racing, preparing for an afternoon session. After hours of waiting, the track was declared good to go at 1 PM, and Sean got right out on to the speedway.
After running 9 sessions on track, 75 laps total, the #82 Ford Fusion of Empire Racing was 8th fast overall on the speed charts by the end of the day. Corr and the team had accomplished what they came to Texas to do, learn. Throughout the 9 runs, many adjustments were made to improve the cars handling and performance and help the team prepare for next months Rattlesnake 150 at the Speedway.
“Texas Motor Speedway is fast, exciting, and a challenge both physically and mentally.” said a satisfied Corr. “I'm glad we came and tested because it gives me an idea of what to expect out of the car and track next month.” Corr was extremely happy with Empire Racing Chassis #1, and even noted it is one of his “favorite cars”.

Daytona Continues Top-15 Runs From '09 and starts off 2010 With Success
MOORESVILLE, NC (02-08-10) – After all the preparation and waiting, Goshen, NY native Sean Corr made his Daytona International Speedway debut this past weekend and drove the Empire Racing/Excel Motorsports Services No. 83 Ford Fusion to a 14th place finish at the super speedway. This race continued the success that the team had in 2009 and a string of top 15 finishes from last season.
Corr, an ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menard's, avoided multiple accidents to complete all 80 laps at the famous 2.5 mile track located in Daytona Beach, Florida. Corr said after the race “We had a couple close calls, but all-in-all I think we came out of the race in a great position.” Sean was able to take advantage of drafting with fellow drivers to work his way into the top 10 early on in the race. Yellow flags were to be found all throughout the 200 mile show. Thankfully, Sean's testing at the speedway in December and past racing experiences helped him to avoid getting caught up in anything major.
Body damage after the midpoint of the race sustained while battling Nelson Piquet for position resulted in extra pit stops. This had the team scrambling on pit road to make sure body damage did not end the day prematurly. Their quick work got Sean back out and kept him on the lead lap, however after losing the draft and restarting 20th Sean had to work hard to catch the field. He managed to hook up with a few drivers and take advantage of drafting to run down and pass 6 cars to get his 14th place finish. “We (the team) learned a lot and there were a lot of good calls that kept us out of trouble. I'm happy with what we did down here and look forward to our next race.”
The experience he gained this weekend will be crucial going forward this season. The team is still looking for a primary sponsor for the 2010 and the next scheduled race is April 16th at Texas Motor Speedway. The race will be televised on SPEED Channel. More information on this will be released as in becomes available.

Rookie Sean Corr Ready to Take on Daytona After Getting Super Speedway License Approved at Test
MOORESVILLE, NC (01-12-10) – In less then a month it will all be over. The hard work and extensive preparation being done will have paid off for ARCA Racing Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards rookie Sean Corr. He will have completed his first race weekend at Daytona International Speedway in the ARCA season opener.
Sean and his team, Empire Racing LLC, have been preparing for months to embark on Sean's rookie season. As the days wind down and February 6th gets closer the work continues around the clock to get the #82 Ford Fusion ready to go. “There's so much to do and I'm so thankful that everyone is putting in the effort needed to make sure our first race goes as smoothly as possible” says Corr. “I'm looking forward to getting back down to Daytona and continuing where we left off a few weeks ago.”
Just last month, Sean and his team were on hand for the ARCA open test session at Daytona. It was Sean's first time running at the super speedway and was an excellent learning experience for him. “We got to work on a lot of important things at the test session including drafting. Drafting is what makes or breaks a race at Daytona. Its very important that I'm comfortable in that situation.”
He was comfortable and able to find his way around the speedway with ease. Sean even set the 4th fastest time in Sunday's session with a 49.438 second lap and a speed of 182.05 mph. When all was said and done, Sean got to go home with his ARCA super speedway license approval. He had logged enough laps and showed he could race at the track, prompting ARCA to approve him for the license. It will allow him to race in February at Daytona and also at other tracks such as Talladega Superspeedway.
“Getting my super speedway license approved is by far one of the biggest things to happen so far in my racing career. Its going to allow me to do what I've been wanting to do since I was a kid attending my first race at Daytona. So many great drivers have run there and now I get a chance to be a part of that list” says Sean.
February 6th kicks off the 2010 season at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 as apart of Daytona Speedweeks 2010. Live coverage of the race will be on SPEED at 4 PM so tune in and watch!

Empire Racing has great weekend at Daytona test, 4th fast on Sunday
MOORESVILLE, NC (12-27-09) – After months of waiting and countless hours of preparation, the #82 Ford Fusion of Empire Racing and driver Sean Corr got to see the race track once again. Last weekend at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, Corr and the team took advantage of a three day open ARCA test session. The famed 2.5 mile paved tri-oval held host to over 50 teams preparing for the 2010 racing season as well as the season opener for the ARCA Racing Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards this coming February at Daytona.
ARCA rookie Sean Corr, logged his first laps at the track on Saturday morning after Friday's test session was cut short by rain just as he prepared to take the track. “I think it was only for the best that Friday rained out when it did because we only would have gotten one run in and couldn't have learned much from that. It gave me a chance to be ready and focused for Saturday.” Sean was just that as he quickly found his way around the 2.5 mile super speedway and showed everyone that he was there to learn as much as possible in the 2 days that remained.
After having a chance to shake the car down and work on setup with the crew on Saturday, Corr returned to the speedway on Sunday morning ready to improve upon what was accomplished the day before, and he did just that. Sean made the #82 the 4th fastest car in Sunday's test session with a 49.438 second lap and a speed of 182.05 mph.
“We got to learn a lot and even worked on drafting. Drafting is such a thrill and its what makes or breaks Daytona so its very important to be comfortable doing it” said a very enthusiastic Corr.
Corr's fast lap was not the only thing that he was proud of at the end of the day Sunday. Upon the completion of the test session Corr was informed that he had logged enough laps to get his super speedway license approval from ARCA. The license is very important and is required to race the season opener at Daytona along with the race in April at the Talladega Super speedway. Corr is ecstatic about getting his approval and looks forward to February to get back out on the historic race track.
The 2010 season kicks off in February 6th at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 as apart of Daytona Speedweeks 2010.
